October is my favorite month. I adore the fall color, crisp cool air and this year’s sky is sizzling with magical energy. The Moon is definitely going to put on a show and I expect lots of exciting things happening in all our lives, including the public stage.
The Moon
Luna has a lot of meetups this month. Tonight she and Jupiter will shine brightly from Aries in the eastern sky together. She doesn’t tarry long, hurrying over to have tea with the 7 Sisters of the Pleiades in Taurus on Monday night, October 2nd around 10pm CDT.
October 8 - Aces & Eights
October the 8th is both 10-8 and 8-8. These numbers are used for shenanigans, I’ll be keeping an eye out for aces and eight fakes, 88 time heists and hauntingly obvious headlines.
Noon (UK 5am) October 8 will deliver a rare event. Sirius will be in his last moments before setting below the western horizon. He’s watched carefully by the Moon, who is 1/3 illuminated (33-30%) and will be visible in the daytime sky. She’s in her home territory of Cancer, her most powerful position.
Venus is conjunct with Regulus, this is the meeting of the King & Queen in Leo.
Virgo will be host to Mercury, Sun and Mars all positioned to reap a harvest around Spica.
And six days later the sky will dim and the ring of fire will appear.
October 14 - Annular Solar Eclipse
The path of annularity will travel through Oregon, California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Texas before heading through Central and South America.
The eclipse hits the west coast about 9am, entering just south of the 2017 eclipse path. The path will go right over the top of Chaco Canyon, Petroglyph National Monument and Roswell in New Mexico around 10:30am. It exits the US over Corpus Christi (body of Christ), Texas…..at high noon. The exact duration is 9:13 am to 12:03 pm, 2 hours 50 minutes.
The eclipse will happen in the hand of Virgo holding the sheaf of grain with Mercury and Mars on either side.
Most of the United States will get a partial view of the event.
October 28 Full Hunter’s Moon
October 28 brings us the full Hunter’s Moon stacked on top of Jupiter in Aries, directly opposite a Mars-Mercury conjunction in Libra in the 33rd minute of the 21st hour. These are lovely placements and numbers for high magic.
Readers across the pond will see a partial lunar eclipse with the Hunter’s Moon, magnifying the magical properties of this night.
October 31 - Samhain or Halloween
The Sun makes his entrance into Libra at precisely 15:15 or 2:15pm CDT on October 31, 2023 at a parallactic angle of 33 degrees. Mars and Mercury will be on the western horizon just after sunset for a few minutes.
The Moon will be in her 19th day and a little over 3/4 full. Jupiter will precede her in the eastern sky with Luna rising E-NE at 20:33 or 8:33 pm in the horns of Taurus.
Samhain will be particularly energetic this year. The energy of the horns of Taurus and the fire of Aries will prevail. Working with Jupiter and the Moon in their various personages will benefit your magic….particularly things that require ACTION in the material realm.
The October Surprise
October surprises don’t just happen during election cycles.
What day will they pick?
I’ll be watching the 8th, 14th and 28th….but also the 19th and 21/22.
Hunter’s Moon
I won’t be surprised if it has to do with Hunter Biden, Ukraine….especially with Mars setting behind the Sun on the same day. We could see the end of this fake war.
Where will they pick?
If there is a physical event somewhere….Texas is my best guess, particularly in the X marks the spot of the intersection of the two eclipses (10-14-23 and 4-8-2024…notice the 8’s and 4’s in both eclipse dates if we use the ‘oct’ in October.
What do YOU think about all this magical energy?
Do you have irons in this sizzling fire? Tell me about it in the comments below.
I may even have a surprise of my own coming if I played my magical cards at the right time back at the Lion’s Gate. I can’t wait to share!
