Ragnarok is a popular Netflix original series set in the fictional town of Edda, Norway. They claim it reimagines Norse mythology in a modern day setting. I say it’s a disturbing and deliberate attempt to blackwash the Gods and deem their human channels as mentally ill. Why? Because Ragnarok is already here and they know it.
Warning - spoiler alert if you haven’t seen the ending yet.
There are 3 seasons of 6 episodes each, totaling 18 (9) for the entire series…this 3-6-9 numerology is intentional. Seasons 1 & 2 were engrossing, captivating and true to the lore….a refreshing media experience in contrast to Marvel. Season 3 is an entirely different animal.
Magne & Thor
Magne (pronounced mung-na) is a high school student in the small town of Edda, the town his family was from but left after the death of his father when he was a boy. He receives the spirit of Thor when an old woman touches his forehead with an amulet she carries. He soon learns that there are others…both gods and giants…walking amongst them after his only friend is killed.
Edda is plagued by industrial pollution caused by the Jutul family, the wealthy owners of a factory that is the town’s economic lifeblood. Magne learns that the Jutuls are actually jötunn or giants. He realizes it is his destiny to fight the Jutuls and stop them from poisoning the town.
Magne is chastised, ostracized and even sent to a psych ward for believing he is Thor …no …. for writing papers questioning the Norwegian democracy and refusing to accept the official explanation for his friend’s death. He is vindicated when his allegations of toxic waste contamination by Jutul Industries is finally revealed to the town.
Magne allies with the other gods — Odin, Freya, Tyr, Balder & Heimdall to defeat the giants. Magne’s brother Laurits (lair-vits) becomes Loki who is half god/half giant and plays an often traitorous role in his brother’s story.
The Ending
Season 3 was just awful. We muscled through the plotless meanderings of episodes 1 thru 5 to arrive at the finale. I will admit I was unprepared for the ending, it was a literal punch in the face.
“Hah, puny human,” sneers Netflix, “fuck you and your gods, pagans are psycho.”
The series dumps its ending in a shitcan when Magne is revealed to be a paranoid schizophrenic. The entire thing was just one long psychotic break into Magne’s collection of comic books about Norse mythology. He is freed from this “delusion” by taking 9 steps towards his ex-girlfriend and falling to his knees in submission at her feet.
The Netflix Agenda
Pre-Christian European spiritual beliefs are mythological and belief in the old gods is delusional. They are allowed to appear in comic books, but no where else. The only valid religious practice are the state sanctioned Abrahamic faiths and climate activism. Deviation from this narrative is indicative of mental illness.
Netflix is the 21st century henchman of the forced conversion and marginalization of the folk soul — our connection to the Gods & our true nature.
Ragnarok
In the lore Ragnarok is the final battle between the Gods and Giants, with the world beginning anew after the destruction. Some view this as a future event, much like the Christian apocalypse. Others see it as an event in the past, with most of the old Gods perishing in the fight.
I see Ragnarok as the cosmic cycle of death and rebirth. It is both universal and individual. The eddas and lore are written in similar fashion as the Bible — parables, metaphors, proverbs, psalms and prophecy can all be found in the prose of the era. The struggle of Gods vs Giants is the war of chaos vs order. We fight this battle every day of our lives — as individuals, groups, towns, cities, nations and empires.
The Old Gods are Rising
Are you familiar with the cycle of 792 years?
There are days, weeks, months, years, decades, centuries and millennia, but there are other cycles we weren’t taught in school….like the 80 year structure of the “fourth turning,” the 138 year Phoenix phenomena or the Greek 3000 year Kykloi.
One of these ancient cycles is 792 years, or a decan of each age of the zodiac. Each sign gets 2160 years out of the 25,920 years within a Great Year, or the time it takes for a complete revolution of the precession of the equinoxes. During this time the old Gods are silent for 732 of the 792, only speaking clearly for 60 years. The 60 years is here. Ragnarok is in full swing RIGHT NOW.
The Quickening
The Gods of our ancestors are not external. We don’t require an intercessory to interact with them, they are an intrinsic part of us and the cosmos. This does not serve the control matrix. It was, and still is, necessary to convince mankind that we are separated from our Creator and the creation … that we require a middle man in both Christ and the Church.
The old Gods rise IN US. They awaken us, calling us home to the remembrance of our place in the cosmos. Christians are leaving the Church by the droves, deconstructing and reclaiming the stolen heritage integrated into “Christianity” by Rome. Cultural and religious appropriation happened to all indigenous people, including the Europeans. The oppression of our natural religion is as colorblind as Coleman Hughes’ suppressed TED talk.
The Awakening
Despite our advancements, we’ve entered a 21st century version of the dark ages. The deception will increase with the technological capacity to fool the senses. We can no longer trust anything we see in the media, it can all be faked. I no longer look to the news, society, employers, hucksters, a holy book, pastor or a multi-million dollar church building to guide my path.
The awakening of the Gods inside of us is a powerful thing. It is the thing “they” fear the most. The Gods live within, through and for us. They experience the material realm through us. The holy of holies is us. WE ARE THE TEMPLES.
Netflix wants you to believe you’re mentally ill if you hear the whispers of the old Gods or feel the quickening in your folk soul. They want you to fear the judgment and accusations that will come your way if you speak up. The awakening can’t be stopped, it is inevitable. Ragnarok is here.
